Question 1: Pipes A and B can fill a tank in 5 and 6 hours respectively. Pipe C can empty it in 12 hours. If all the three pipes are opened together, then the tank will be filled in:
A और B पाइप किसी टंकी को 5 और 6 घंटे मे भर सकते हैं और पाइप c उसे टंकी को 12 घंटे मे खाली कर देती है अगर तीनों टंकी को एक साथ खोला गया तो इस टंकी को कितने घंटे मे भरेगा

(2x - 5)(x - 9) = x(x - 5)
x2 - 18x + 45 = 0
x = 15. [neglecting x = 3]

एक टंकी समान बहाव में तीन पाइप द्वारा भरे जाते हैं अगर दो पाइप एक साथ खोली जाते है तो उतना ही समय टंकी भरने मे लगाता है जितना पाइप c को अकेले दूसरी पाइप पहली पाइप से 5 घंटे जल्दी टंकी को भर्ती है और 4 घंटे धीरे तीसरी पाइप जितना समय लगाती है पहली पाइप द्वारा कितना समय लगेगा.

Suppose, first pipe alone takes x hours to fill the tank .
Then, second and third pipes will take (x -5) and (x - 9) hours respectively to fill the tank.

| x - 5 + x | = | 1 |
| x(x - 5) | (x - 9) |
(2x - 5)(x - 9) = x(x - 5) x2 - 18x + 45 = 0
(x - 15)(x - 3) = 0
x = 15. [neglecting x = 3]
